No wonder I’m struggling. I forgot to start with my blog tonight.

The Midpoint is behind me and it works swell. It works as a great pivot and it has feeling.
I also had a thought tonight. I originally thought it was a revelation, but I would rather not frame it that way. I have a tendency to sensationalize. The thought was that what was missing in the opening of Blood of the Storm was pain. There was nothing drawing the reader in. I’m going to keep that in mind while my editor does her thing and see what all she has to say about it before I change another word.
I know where Around the Corona has to go, but making the transition from the Midpoint to the Second Pinch is proving problematic. Perhaps that’s because I didn’t have a plan for it. The journey TO the second pinch is clear, but the pinch itself isn’t clear. Something has to drag him to it. Something that’s missing. Something…needed. There it is. That’ll catapult the story from the midpoint to the climax nicely. Yep. Okay, back to it.
