First Year Published
I learned a lot publishing my first book, but that isn’t the end of the story. Learning is a constant, never-ending thing. I mean this in a good way. It means you don’t have to know everything up front, you’ll never know everything, and there is always a new horizon to reach.
Weaving Storylines
Story weaving is as much of an art as drafting is. On the first two books, I wove the storylines together in the planning phase to make sure everything was balanced. With Book III, there was too much going on in too many disparate locations. That’s where my new approach comes in.
Return to Form
These last two months, I really fell out of a lot of the habits that are important to me. Exercise, prayer, and even morning writing all fell to the wayside. I was getting up later and later. Looking back, I probably wasn’t in the best emotional shape. I was just making the best of the situation in which I found myself.
Bones Need Tissue
Without tissue, even the best skeleton falls apart.
Long Time, No See
The day I posted my last blog post, I found out I was being eliminated from my job. Since then, I’ve been all over the place.
